HERE'S WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT US

"Unveil Weddings are the dream team! They were truly professional and made the whole process from start to finish completely effortless. We had the best time during the photoshoot that we had with them leading up to the wedding and we have the most beautiful and natural photos from that magical time right before the big day.

We loved how it easy it was to build a connection with Brydn, Ian and Rob and how they immediately understood where we were coming from and how to make us feel comfortable. They were the perfect balance of discreet whilst being right there in all the action on the day and captured every single moment perfectly. We could not have made a better choice for our wedding and would book them again in a heartbeat! Not only did we find the finest photographers/videographers out there, we gained great friends! They are the best!"

LET US WALK YOU THROUGH OUR JOURNEY WITH ABBY & BEN FOR THEIR WEDDING AT THE KIMPTON FITZROY

Before the wedding..

We first met Abby & Ben via a zoom call after they had got in touch with us via our website. They had seen our “About Us” video and felt we would be the right vibe for their wedding. Abby and Ben went with one of our assorted wedding packages which included a pre-wedding shoot. Abby in particular had made a point to us saying that she wasn't the most comfortable person on camera so would like to have a pre wedding shoot to get used to being on camera and working with us. Ahead of the shoot we also attended the venue with our wedding couple. Being a Jewish wedding we wanted to make sure we knew where to be and at what time.

We had the most amazing pre wedding shoot on a delightful spring morning in North London. We went to the stunning Hill Garden and Pergola on Hampstead Heath, which honestly doesn't look like it's in the UK. We have a few great pre wedding shoot locations which we are always happy to take you too. Once we started shooting both Abby and Ben really settled into the shoot and we started bouncing ideas off one another. To top it off we enjoyed the wonderful weather and grabbed a couple of pints afterwards!

To finish we created a pre-wedding album for Abby and Ben, which doubled up as their wedding guest book. This was ready for everyone to sign during their wedding reception.

The morning of..

Being in the incredible Fitzroy Hotel in London Abby and Ben got ready in separate rooms. Having the two wedding photographers really helped as it allowed us to have a dedicated wedding photographer to bother the bride and groom. Being in the same location too meant our wedding videographer was able to go in between the two rooms and document the getting ready process.

Abby had a large hotel suite which all six of her bridesmaids were getting ready in. This time is always great to capture the excitement ahead of the ceremony. We made sure to capture shots of everyone in their morning wedding gowns with their role on the back. We also captured plenty of shots of prosecco being popped! One of our favourite moments of the day was when Abby was revealed to her bridesmaids for the first time. Their reaction was very emotional with plenty of tears.

Meanwhile Ben was downstairs in the bar after getting into his suit. All sporting a black ties, the men were enjoying a groomsmen shoot along with a couple of glasses of Whiskey. As the morning went on Ben enjoyed a Tisch where he greeted the other men attending the wedding. Once finished it was time to go and get married!

The ceremony..

The ceremony room at Abby and Ben’s wedding was absolutely spectacular, The Kimpton Fitzroy had done such an amazing job. Seeing as it was a Jewish wedding the hoopla was set at the front of the room. Covered completely in wedding flowers.

At the back of the room was a huge set of double doors which everyone from the main wedding party would enter from. Ben was walked down the aisle with his mother and he waited under the hoopla for his beautiful bride to arrive. The door opened and in walked Abby alongside her father. Having a multiple camera setup for the ceremony meant we were able to capture both the entrance and Ben's reaction, he was only just keeping it together.

It was an Israeli wedding tradition for the groom to meet his bride half way down the aisle with the rabbi. This meeting in the middle allowed for a perfect angle showing all of Abby as Ben’s guests around them.

The wedding ceremony was beautiful and gave us so many wedding photography and wedding videography options. There was traditional Jewish music being played by a duo throughout which we made sure to capture audio of. We later used this music in the final edit so Abby and Ben could be taken back to this moment.

Ben stamped on the glass and the room erupted with Musaltov! They were now married and shared their first kiss.

Confetti & Group Photography..

For the wedding confetti photography and videography we headed out to the front of The Kimptom Fitzroy. Being in central London we didn't have much room to create a tunnel for the happy couple. When this happens we create a large semi circle around the couple and get their wedding guests to throw the confetti into the middle. This can work in our favour as in the wedding edit we can get creative. In this instance our wedding editor both slowed down the footage, but also reversed it so the confetti looked like it was rising from the ground.

As a tip, we ask you to have a list of group shots to a number totalling to 10 or less. The reason being it can be very time consuming, and usually would end up reducing our time in the wedding couples shoot, which is really important for the set of photography. We're experienced in what looks great, and will happily organise the group shots to what looks best, and of-course more than happy to take guidance on something you've seen before.

In this instance we had pre planned the large group shot with Abby and Ben on their recce. With everyone staying in the ceremony room we asked everyone to turn around and look up towards a balcony overlooking the ceremony room. Choosing the group shot here was very efficient and meant we had loads more time for our couples shoot.

The couple's shoot & wedding reception..

Coming into having her photo taken for the first time Abby was a little wary of the couple's shoot. It was mentioned on the wedding recce that we may conduct the couples shoot in the park opposite the venue, which Abby was unsure of. However after building her confidence being on camera from the pre wedding shoot she had no problems at all. In fact she was the one who suggested that we got couple shots in the park

Our final shot was in the foyer, where we set up one of our big spotlights. Being quite a dark foyer area this was necessary to make sure the wedding shot had enough light. This was a key wedding couples shot for Abby and Ben so we made sure everything was set up ahead of time, keeping their shooting efficient.

The wedding breakfast & speeches..

The evening antics, cake cutting and first dance..

Being a Jewish wedding there was plenty of Israeli dance to come before anything else. Wow! Did Abby and Ben have a grand entrance to their wedding reception. Entering through a tunnel and with a pop from a confetti cannon, the party started.

The energy was electric and two circles were formed, one with the groomsmen and one with the bridal party. The dancing involved Abby and Ben being lifted off the ground on a chair also known as a haruah dance, guests dancing around them in a circle and Ben diving over his groomsmen! It was an absolute pleasure to capture wedding photography and wedding videography of this moment and we couldn’t resist but get involved.

For the wedding speeches Abby and Finn had a wedding toastmaster who guided everyone through the different speakers. In this case the bridal and groom had six people speaking which they placed in between different food courses. Having a large amount of speeches allowed for us to capture a really good narrative as each one of Abby and Ben’s family and friends gave a different perspective on their lives. To make it as easy as possible for everyone we had touched base with the wedding band ahead of the day and asked if we would be able to use their microphones to capture the speeches. The reason we did this was so one microphone could easily be passed between the speakers without us having to intervene at any point. We make a real effort to get on with your other wedding suppliers as we are able to help one another to make your wedding day run smoothly.
