LET US WALK YOU THROUGH OUR JOURNEY WITH
FRANCESCA & JOE FOR THEIR WEDDING AT HEDSOR HOUSE

Before the wedding..

We first touched base with Francesa and Joe after we were recommended by one of their friends who attended a wedding we shot previously. We always love to get contacted via a recommendation as it means we left a good impression on our other weddings. Francessca jumped on a call with us via zoom, where we found out that they want to go for our largest package and capture their wedding day to the absolute max!

With such a large wedding package including four crew members it was essential that we had a recce ahead of the day. We met Francesca and Joe at the beautiful Hedsor house where we got a chance to get to know them as well as a chance to see the venue. We were amazed by the bridal suite which is apparently the largest one in the UK! With all information gathered and having met our couple, we were ready to shoot!

The morning of..

The day was finally here and we were so ready to capture some amazing wedding photography and videography. We always like to arrive early and in this case we actually arrived before our bride and groom! The reason we did this was so we could capture plenty of cutaway shots of the wedding venue, in particular, drone footage. Wow! Hedsor House is the perfect location to get the drone out. Not only for the morning but also for the evening, as we would find later.

Francessa arrived in style with her gorgeous bridesmaids. They headed up to the most spacious and beautiful bridal suite we have had the chance to shoot in and the make up artists got to work. During this time there was plenty of laughter and excitement ahead of the ceremony. We captured  stunning bridesmaids shots on the four posted bed and had Francesa have a pillow fight with her sister. During this time we had to keep our Bride away from the windows as Joe and his groomsmen arrived outside in an Aston Martin.

Joe had a large group of best men and groomsmen! Having a large group allows for some really creative photography, our wedding  videographers and photographers didn't disappoint. As it was a bright sunny day our wedding videographer got all of the groomsmen to get their sunglasses on. This coupled with the Aston Martin really gave James Bond vibes.

The ceremony..

With our bride and groom ready to be married we got ourselves in position and awaited the entrance of our beautiful bride. Joe waited patiently at the front of the beautiful wedding ceremony room. The ceremony room at Hedsor House has a gorgeous wrap-around balcony looking into the middle of the room. This was a perfect place to position one of our videographers.

As Francesa and Joe had booked us for a full ceremony recording we made sure to have a minimum of 3 cameras rolling to capture their wedding ceremony. We had a tripod at the back, one of us at the front and one on the balcony. To top this off we had placed a microphone on Joe and the wedding register. This allowed us to capture pitch perfect audio of their vows. This was the same for the wedding photographers, one being at the front and one a the back

Our job when the wedding ceremony is taking place is to be as discreet as possible. Being at the very front of a ceremony room you would think this would be quite tricky to do. However, with our years of experience we know how to move as quietly as possible and when to do so, this way we don’t interrupt the wedding ceremony. Having shot lots of wedding ceremonies we know where to be at the right time and always make sure to capture those key moments. At Hedsor House we had enough space to easily move in front of the couple, which meant we could capture Francesca and Joe's vows effortlessly.

Confetti & Group Photography..

Right after the ceremony is always the best time for confetti shots. Or in this case a bubble shot. Yes! That’s right! Guests were equipped with bubble guns. We always suggest going with more confetti than less as it makes for more striking photos and video. In this case, Francsca and Joe had eight bubble guns which we distributed amongst the guests to make sure there was a good spread of bubbles on their walk. The shots came out so well and we have been recommending bubble guns ever since. It especially looked great in slow motion for the wedding film.

When it comes to group shots we recommend  a number totalling to ten or less. The reason being it can be very time consuming, and usually would end up reducing our time in the wedding couples shoot, which is really important for film and photography. We're experienced in what looks great, and will happily organise the group shots to what looks best, and of-course more than happy to take guidance on something you've seen before. Having Hedsor House as the backdrop couldn’t be more picturesque. Especially when we conducted the whole wedding party group shot using the drone.

The couple's shoot & wedding reception..

At Unveil we pride ourselves in bringing an element of fun to our shoots so nothing is too forced.Seeing as Joe’s job involves restoring vintage cars we have to get them involved in the couples shoot. With one of us driving and the other hanging out of the boot of the car we led Francesca and Joe in their Aston Martin up to the venue via the long driveway up to Hedsor House. To top it off, our drone pilot was tracking the wedding car from the air and captured some beautiful shots from above.

With such a stunning wedding couple in Francesca and Joe and such an incredible wedding venue, we were spoilt for choice when it came to our couples shoot! We work with scenes rather than posed shots, so that way we can capture the real elements of what our couples have to offer. After our warm up shoot in the car Francesca and Joe were ready to capture some more intimate moments. Once their guests had gone inside we took them out into the gardens around the wedding venue. From the gardens the view over the countryside was incredible. We allowed Francesca and Joe to have a moment of quiet as they took it all in and spent a moment together. Of course, we were there to capture this wonderful moment.

Whilst we were shooting with our wedding couple the other members of our team were having a great time with their wedding guests! Getting involved and capturing all of the natural moments. This is why it's important to have a second photographer or videographer, as they will be there to  capture all of these moments that you might have missed.

The wedding breakfast & speeches..

The great thing of having two wedding videographers and wedding photographers on the day means that whilst on your couples shoot, the other two members of the team can get everything set up ready for the speeches. This will include setting up microphones, cameras on tripod as well as capturing plenty of footage of your wedding breakfast set up before anyone has come in. This is the same for the wedding photographer who will capture every tiny detail.

For their entrance the father of the bride made god everyone feel and opened the doors to Francesa and Joe. To capture this entrance we had our team set up from in front and behind to capture both reactions of the wedding party and the bride and groom.

For the speeches we set up a couple of static cameras around the room to capture various different angles. This allows our video team to work efficiently knowing one angle is secured, so has more freedom to capture the intricacies as well as the guests and their laughs, smiles and cries as the speeches continue.

The evening antics, cake cutting and first dance..

During the wedding breakfast the team at Hedsor House got to work turning the ceremony room into the dance floor. What an amazing job they did! From our early conversions with Francesca and Joe it was very clear that they liked to party. Sure enough they made sure to make their wedding party the very best. They had a lively wedding band that set a really fun vibe for the evening.

The couples first dance was one to remember especially as we had a really unique angle from the balcony above the dance floor. The dance floor was lit up with loads of twinkly lights which added to our shots further. Sometimes the dance floor at a wedding can be a little bit dark, so we always make sure to bring a spotlight to shine into the middle. This gives us a lot more light to work with but also creates a lovely flare effect in our camera. Giving your first dance that truly magical feeling.

The wedding cake was placed in a perfect position, just out of the way of the wedding party but still in view. It was in the middle of a stairwell which warped around. These stairs were a treat as it meant we could have guests watch the cake cutting from the stair and we could capture their reactions in shot as the wedding cake was cut. To top it off the bubble guns came into play once again and we had bubbles raining down on Francesca and Joe for this special moment.

The finale..

To finish off the evening we suggested that Francesca & Joe buy sparkler, so we could create some wedding sparkler photos. We got the guests involved and ended up with about 30 people outside cheering and waving the sparklers. These shots always look fantastic in slow motion.

Once the group was finished we saved a couple more for the bride and groom to have their own wedding sparkler moment on the main balcony at Hedsor House. Not only were we going to take photos of this moment but we decided to get the drone out and capture out perfect ending shot. With both Francesca and Joe on the Balcony we lit their wedding sparklers and  got them to wave towards the drone. Our pilot then flew out and away from the venue to reveal the gorgeous dusky countryside. A perfect end to a perfect wedding.
