LET US WALK YOU THROUGH OUR JOURNEY WITH
PARNEET & SHAUN FOR THEIR WEDDING AT SOANE'S KITCHEN

Before the wedding..

We first met Parneet & Shaun when they reached out to us to tell their story. We began our journey over Zoom, like most did during lockdown. From that initial call, we all knew we were the right fit for them, the right energy balance and we were all excited.

From here, once the paperwork and intricacies were completed, we had a few changes to make in terms of numbers of guests and timings. We had a few places to visit in the morning for their couples photoshoot, instead of after the ceremony, this to save time for them in the afternoon, but also to utilise the day. We actually planned out a little reveal for Shaun to see Parneet once they were both ready and head off for the ceremony. A little private moment, just for them. We actually couldnt find time in the diary to meet up in-person at the time, but we kept in-touch with Parneet via WhatsApp to ensure all was in place and we could be reached easily for updates and any questions.

The morning of..

By the time the wedding had come around, we'd chatted so much prior about the day, when we finally met-up, it was just like we'd known eachother for years. We were greeted with tea and coffee, on arrival while we got set and slowly eased ourselves into the photography.

We arrived when Parneet had her wedding make-up started and her wedding hair being done, this is because not a lot of various shot types happen in the morning so we choose to begin here. It's a great time to photography some of the key wedding assets, such as jewellery, gifts, in this case the Indian Henna process, and family members who are on-site to help and support.

From the get-go, we had banter flying around and the nerves werent visible. This made for some really relaxed photos during the entire process of the morning. Once Parneet was ready, we all went for a short walk to the car and stopped for some fun and engaging photos to emphasise the dress and also Parneet's bubbly personality.

The pre-ceremony couples photoshoot..

Before the ceremony, we had planned out our couples shoot to begin with a first look for Shaun. We chose a pergola on the grounds of Soane's Kitchen, which made a lovely walk-way for Parneet to walk down. We asked Parneet to pause half-way down to ensure we could move in-time to capture Shaun's natural reaction to seeing her for the first time. He didn't let us down, the moment was so perfect to photograph.

We then went for our couples photoshoot in the museum and captured some unique and wonderful moments for Shaun & Parneet to look back on forever. We had a play, doing some spins, funky poses and just genuinely had a blast, which naturally made their photography really natural.

The ceremony..

One of the key elements of the day that Parneet & Shaun requested was to capture their fun entrance for the ceremony. Before this, we floated around and captured all the guests greeting each other for the first time in a while due to COVID. The atmosphere was genuinely lovely.

The ceremony was quickly upon us and the guys partied in, and had a blast during the ceremony too. So many laughs, smiles, happy tears and high fives! They organised a detailed list for us to follow with the guests to make sure they could send a photo of everyone after the wedding as a thank-you.

The post-ceremony couple's shoot

After the wedding ceremony was complete, we'd organised another smaller couples shoot to make use of some time. It was also a great time to capture some more intimate moments now they were actually married. Genuine laughs, banter and authentic moments is how we like to photograph, and that's exactly what we did. We even made the most of the rainy shower we had, using the umbrellas for some more unique photographs.

The wedding reception & breakfast..

Parneet and Shaun had arranged some really special touches for the evening, including caricaturists, magicians, DJ's and a drummer. It really made everyone super engaged and relaxed so quickly, and it made capturing natural shots of everyone a little easier. Their entrance was really fun, energetic and everything we'd expect of such fun people. They danced their way into the venue, over to their table before eating and and getting ready for the first dance. Part of the agreement we had, was to capture a group photo of everyone that was attending, for thank you cards. We allocated some time outside for everyone to come outside and have their photo taken, including a giant group photo.

The evening antics, cake cutting and first dance..

As part of all of our weddings, we do our absolute best to capture all the little moments that happen. This is so when you look back you can really relive your wedding day. From the cake being cut, to the first dance and drunk antics, we're there on-hand to capture it all. We often get involved with the guests, right in the middle as it usually means we capture the most fun and engaging photography. This was no exception, we had an absolute blast!
