HERE'S WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT US

"We used Unveil Weddings for our wedding last August and couldn't be happier with the results. From the get go Brydn & Ian were so friendly and helpful and really wanted to get to know us and make us feel comfortable on our wedding day. We had a pre-shoot with them at our wedding venue which was really special and they then produced us a guest book using the photos from the shoot for guests to sign on the day, which was such an amazing and lovely touch!

On the day itself, Ian was unable to be there as he was unwell, but they brought along one of their other photographers and everything ran seamlessly. All our guests commented how easy it was to work with them on the day, and how at ease everyone felt with them around. The photos we received at the end are truly stunning, with so many guests and friends commenting they look like photos from a magazine.

We loved the highlights and full film they prepared for us also- watching them is just like re-living the day, and they are edited beautifully- we were just thrilled with the videos! Overall, we are so glad we used Unveil, they are super friendly and professional, and we would recommend them to all of our friends."

LET US WALK YOU THROUGH OUR JOURNEY WITH
SARAH & JACK FOR THEIR WEDDING AT ASHRIDGE HOUSE

Before the wedding..

When we first met Sarah & Jack, we automatically knew we were going to have lots of fun capturing their wedding content. They told us all of their plans for their wedding, talked us through the venue, what they may require and we organised what package may best suit them. We agreed a pre-wedding photoshoot would be a good idea, which we tied up with a recce of their venue. This where we get to break the ice and we had so much fun with them both, capturing the love they share.

Taking the extra time to meet up enabled us to firstly decide that Sarah & Jack wanted drone footage, which could have then not been included, but also speak to the venue about using drone, as we needed extra insurance. We always take the time to meet the venue staff and recce the building so there are no nasty surprises on the day.

The couples photoshoot we did prior to the wedding was a lovely touch, and gave Sarah & Jack a run through of what can do on their wedding day, so when the day comes around we're all well rehearsed and can have lots of fun with it. We made them a guest book as well for their guests to leave lovely messages on the day next to their pictures.

The morning of..

Because we'd spent so much time with Jack & Sarah prior to their wedding day, we were all basically good friends. Upon arrival, it was hugs and pleasentaries, which immediately calmed both rooms. It can be daunting to have cameras in the room, but everyone enjoyed the banter and opportunity to get creative for some unique wedding day photography.

We had a crew of 4 people for this wedding, and we split into two teams. One team of a videographer and a photographer, and the same for team 2. We split between Sarah's bridal room, and Jack's groom's room, to make sure everything was documented for the wedding films and photography.

The ceremony..

So we've finished capturing everyone getting ready, and its time for the ceremony. In such a glorious venue as Ashridge House, it was really important that we were on-time, efficient and prepared. One crew got set-up as the guests were arriving, ensuring for the full wedding film, everything was captured. We mic'd Jack up and the registrar to enable us to hear everything that was said too, which allows us the tools to tell our narrative based highlights wedding film.

Sarah arrived at the top of the incredible stair case of Ashridge House, where one of the crew was ready to capture them and their nerves, before heading down to capture a wider angle of them walking down the stairs. The venue had few places for crew to stand, so we needed that plan from the recce day to know where we needed to be.

After, they actually had a second ceremony, which was more of the legal ceremony within the church on-site at Ashridge House. This was absolutely beautiful, and was finished off by the confetti inside as they walked back down the isle as husband and wife.

Group Photography..

Right after the ceremony is a key time to be organised and ready for the confetti and the group shots. The confetti shot takes a little bit of time to organise, so we usually ask some help from either your toastmaster, or on this occasion the groomsmen. We like to ensure everyone has some confetti in their hands and everyone is on a cohesive line, so the confetti photos and video looks amazing! At Grace & Brett's wedding, we even had time to get some bonus shots while we we organised the confetti line.

As a tip, we ask you to have a list of group shots to a number totalling to 10 or less. The reason being it can be very time consuming, and usually would end up then reducing our time in the wedding couples shoot, which is really important for the film and photography. We're experienced in what looks great, and will happily organise the group shots to what looks best, and of-course more than happy to take guidance on something you've seen before.

The couple's shoot & wedding reception..

The couples shoot is the time we can get really creative and utilise everything your venue has to offer, and Ashridge House had everything you could ever imagine. We organised a route based on our recce and pre-wedding couples shoot. We mixed it up with indoors on the incredible staircase, all the way to out the front with Sarah's dad's Ferrari. We like energy, and what we asked for in all of our work is to have fun, to ensure the wedding photography and video we produce is natural and shows off the real you.

At the same time, our crew stuck around for the wedding reception. That's one of the key benefits that larger crew offers in that you get to see everything that was going on whilst you were away capturing your couples photography.

The wedding breakfast & speeches..

Ashridge House was so stunning, so warm and a beautiful venue for a dinner setting and speeches. As we'd been pre-prepared we knew ahead at this time was also a great time as a crew to get set up early and be ready for when the speeches begin.

Once all ready, the guests enter and Sarah & Jack were introduced. We're on hand to capture all the entrance photography and video, which then went into the speeches after some food. At the point catering begins, we tend to have a rest and have some food too, as no one wants to be filmed or photographed while eating.

The speeches were amazing, and gave us really nice options for the narrative approach we take to our wedding videography. On hand our photographer also captured all of the lovely moments that were introduced via the speeches, as well as the guests reactions. We tend to have two cameras set-up for the filming so the longer wedding film we produce has a nice angle to cut between. Not only this, but it allows our videographer to work efficiently knowing one angle is secured, so has more freedom to capture the intricacies, as well as the guests and their laughs, smiles and cries as the speeches continue.

The evening antics, cake cutting and first dance..

Before the evening fully began, we had allotted some time to ensure the cake cutting looked as magical as possible. At this wedding the cake was at the bottom of the stairs, but we thought up top might be a lovely change to the usual.

The first dance was organised to have a smoke machine to create a magical affect, and my word did it look so lovely! Guests at this point do unwind, and we do offer extra hours for that real content to be highlighted for you. These guys even had casino machines and blackjack brought in so their guests could have an option from the party.
